| MAY 8 — Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy gymnasts Katie Brown and Mackenzie Valentin won medals Friday at the USA Gymnastics Level 9 Western National Championships, held in Bartlesville, Okla.
 Competing in the Junior 6 age group, both gymnasts placed in the top 10 in the all-around.
Brown placed fifth all-around and won the bronze medal on balance beam, just .050 behind the gold medal winner.
Valentin placed sixth all-around and won the bronze medal on vault.
On Saturday, Ashley Vile, the third BCGA gymnast to qualify to Level 9 nationals, placed fifth on vault in the Senior 3 age group. She hit all four routines to finish 13th all-around.
