Jennifer Harry took first place on floor at the Level 8 Regionals

Gymnasts from the Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy won gold, silver and bronze medals at the Level 8 Regional Championships, held April 26-27 in Plano, Texas.
BCGA gymnasts competed in three different age groups, medaling in each: Edmond's Jennifer Harry won the gold medal on floor exercise (14-year-old division), Norman's Lauren Cullen won the silver medal on balance beam (15-and-over division) and Norman's Katie Brown won the bronze medal on balance beam (13-year-old division).
BCGA gymnasts also had numerous top-12 finishes. In the 13-year-old division, Mackenzie Valentin finished 12th all-around, fifth on vault, and 11th on both uneven bars and floor exercise.
In addition to her bronze medal on beam, Brown placed 15th all-around and 11th on vault.
In addition to her gold medal on floor, Harry placed 12th all-around and fourth on uneven bars. Also in the 14-year-old division, Ashley Vile finished 16th all-around and 11th on floor exercise.
Cullen finished fifth all-around and 12th on floor exercise. Also in the 15-and-over division, Yukon's Juanita Glyckherr finished 12th all-around, fourth on balance beam and seventh on floor exercise.
The BCGA optional girls team is in its first season with coaches Christian Ivanov, a 2000 Bulgarian Olympian; Coral Borda, a former Brazilian national team member and OU competitor; and Sally Arnold.
The Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy competes in USA Gymnastics Region 3, composed of Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming.
