BCGA’s Alex Marks, 16, was the recipient of this year’s Shannon Miller Award given out at the Oklahoma USA Gymnastics Annual All State Banquet held last weekend in Norman, OK.  The award is given each year to a gymnast and a coach for outstanding performances, and appreciation for contributions to Oklahoma and USA Gymnastics.  Alex’s gymnastics accomplishments include: TOPs A team member, Western National and JO National qualifier and medalist, 2013 P&G Junior National participant.  In addition, Alex is two times US Classic participant, and this year as a Senior Elite athlete she competed at the American Classics competition.  Alex is also an outstanding student earning “honor roll” for her last year’s academics efforts.   Alex has also already earned a full gymnastics scholarships to this year’s NCAA national champions, the University of Oklahoma!
